Are your pieces true to size?

Yes! All of our sizing is true to our size chart! Please check your measurements against the chart if you are unsure what size to order.


My size isn’t on the size chart! Do you do custom sizing?

Yes we do! We can make smaller, bigger & in between sizes by request. You will need to supply your measurements (bust, waist, hip, inseam, height). Please contact us via Instagram DM to discuss before ordering.


Can I return my item if it doesn’t fit?

Unfortunately we do not offer this service as all of our items are handmade to order - meaning we made the outfit just for you, we don’t keep stock on hand! Be sure to choose your size carefully. If you are unsure about sizing - refer to the size chart or include your measurements (bust, waist, hip, in seam & height) in the order notes at checkout.


Are the clothes stretchy?

They sure are! All of our designs are made of spandex which makes them very comfortable & stretchy.




Can I add straps to my bandeau top?

Yes you can! Search “add straps” in the product section of the website & add to your cart ($10-$15). You will be able to select from thin, thick, bow or ribbon straps.


Can you make my top/skirt/etc longer or shorter?

Definitely! Please contact us via Instagram DM to discuss before ordering.


Can you add sleeves to my top?

Unfortunately not at this stage! If anything changes, you guys will be the first to know! ;)



Can I get a custom print?

Definitely! We have access to over 5000+ prints from our supplier. We would love to make a custom outfit for you. As our supplier has SO MANY prints for us to sift through, please only message us once you have a CLEAR idea of what you want. Please be specific & let us know a colour & theme you’d like to go for (e.g. Pink animal print). It is not enough to just say you’d like something “unique” or to “stand out” - we are very busy making all of your amazing outfits so we don’t have time to show you every single print or come up with the idea for you! All of our favourite prints are the ones we range anyway ;)


Can you copy this design from a picture?

Unfortunately not! We can do custom prints but can only work with our EXISTING styles (you can mix & match whatever pieces you like!) & make changes to them like adding straps or changing lengths. We cannot copy another brands design or exclusive print.


What are my top options?

Can you make men’s clothes?

Unfortunately not.


How long will my custom order take?

Custom fabric takes 1-2 weeks to be shipped to us from our international supplier, so please factor this in with the relevant processing + shipping time as well. If you are wanting a custom print, we recommend ordering at least a month prior to your event to avoid stress!




When will my order be shipped?

Every single order is handmade at The Volt, which means that unfortunately your order will not be shipped instantly! Our processing time fluctuates during busy periods. Please allow approximately 1-2 weeks for your order to be made before it is shipped. If you are unsure about whether or not we will be able to make an outfit for you before your event date, please contact us via Instagram DM to discuss! If it has been less than 2 weeks & your item hasn’t been shipped, please do not contact us to check on the status of your order. It is either still in the queue or complete - and once it’s complete you will receive a shipping notification via email! :)


How long does shipping take?

We send all domestic parcels via AusPost express shipping to ensure you get your outfit as quick as possible! 

Domestic shipping - 2-3 days

International standard shipping - 2 weeks

International express shipping - 1 week

Why hasn’t my parcel arrived yet?

Once we have handed your parcel over to Australia Post, we have no further information on the status of the parcel! We can only see the same online tracking updates as you. If you have any queries about the status or location of your parcel once it has been despatched, please contact Australia Post with your tracking number. We cannot do this for you & cannot provide any further information. We are not liable for lost or stolen parcels.




I’ve changed my mind, can I return my item?

Unfortunately not. This is because we hand make everything to order - just for you! Please choose carefully before ordering.


My item is faulty, what can I do?

If you receive your item & it is faulty, you are eligible for your choice of an exchange or refund. We will happily make a new item for you or repair the fault! Please contact us via Instagram DM with any issues.




Are the Harley Davidson shirts authentic?

Yes! They are all authentic vintage Harley Davidson shirts!


Where do the shirts come from?

We source them internationally.


How often do you restock?

Whenever we feel like it! ;) Make sure you have our post notifications on on Instagram so you don’t miss a drop!


The shirt I want is sold out! Can you get it back in stock?

Unfortunately not - once it’s gone, it’s gone! All of our vintage shirts are one of a kind. So make sure that you act fast so you don’t miss out on The One!


What condition are the shirts in?

As all of the shirts are authentic vintage - wear & tear is normal! All pictures used on the website are of the actual shirts (what you see is what you get)! If you’d like more pictures of a particular shirt, feel free to contact us via Instagram DM.


Can I return my shirt?

Unfortunately not! We do not allow change of mind returns on our one of a kind items. Vintage shirts often feature ageing, marks & small holes so this does not qualify as a fault. All shirts listed on the website are of fully wearable quality & the condition is as pictured. Please choose carefully before ordering.




Can I order a piece separately rather than in a set?

Of course! All you need to do is search “separates” on the product section of the website & then select the item & size you would like. In the order notes at checkout please let us know what print you would like. We can do separates in any of our prints as well as custom prints! If you are choosing a print from our standard range, you do not need to contact us first. For example, just check out as normal & then write “Limewire - green lightning” in the order notes at checkout.

Do all tops feature a lace up back?

All bandeaus (with/without straps) & one shoulder crops feature a lace up back to allow for the perfect fit!


What are my payment options?

We offer credit card, PayPal & AfterPay at checkout!


Where is The Volt made?

All of our pieces are handmade in Australia! We are a very small team & have sewing studios in Brisbane & Cairns.


What is the best way to get in contact?

We prefer Instagram DM! We can be very busy but rest assured we will respond to you as soon as we can.


What happens if my parcel gets stolen or lost in the mail?

Unfortunately we are not liable for issues with AusPost (including shipping delays & lost parcels) & this must be taken up with them. We cannot contact them on your behalf.


Do you do collaborations/would you like to collab?

We are not currently looking for brand ambassadors or to do any collaborations! If anything changes, we will reach out to you! :) There is no need to message us.
